LittleBigPlanet 3 was revealed at Sony’s E3 media briefing today. In a lengthy onstage demo, they showed off what is the grandest departure from previous titles;  new characters with different attributes.

For starters, there’s Oddsock, a faster,  dog-like companion to the Sackboy who can wall-jump. Next up is Toggle, a bigger, stronger Sackperson who can move larger objects, who can also become smaller to solve puzzles in tighter spots. Finally, they showed off Swoop, a bird companion who can, as you might guess, fly.

Multiple players will use the different abilities of the different sack-creatures to solve more complex puzzles and unlock more decorations and costumes.

Additionally, user-generated content from the first two games will be playable in LittleBigPlanet 3 when it hits PS4 in November.

Who is developing, however, has yet to be determined.
