Though Christmas is over for many in the world, there’s still a lot of holiday goodness to be had. This year, 2014, seemed to be the one that really put Indie games at the center of a lot of our gaming conversations. To celebrate the growth of the medium, several developers have come together to present the Advent of Indies calendar of gaming freebies.
It’s a clever concept. As each day passes counting down to Christmas day, a new Indie developer is featured and associated freebies are given away. The first day, for instance, features Amplitude Studios. Their latest game is Dungeon of the Endless, but the company is giving away the full soundtrack to one of its other hits, Endless Legend.
Other developers in the calendar include Swing Swing Submarine, Rat King, and Freelives, and giveaways include full games, betas, soundtracks, and more.
The Advent of Indies is still available, running at least through the new year. It’s highly suggested to take a look through the nicely-design site, grab a bunch of the freebies and get to know many of the developers.
