For all of the times we’re talked about Batman v Superman, I personally haven’t carted much for what I saw. The film looked overproduced at best and campy at worst.
However, latest trailer may actually be something that changes my mind about the film. Warner/DC have posted the IMAX version of the final trailer for the film — due in theaters March 25 — which further showcases Batman as the centerpiece of the new DC film universe. We’re asked to be nearly fearful of Superman and his god-like powers. Lex Luther has seemingly set things in motion that will pit the two heroes against each other in a sort of “clash of titans” battle for the planet, all while he plans to create his own monstrosity (Doomsday, perhaps).
What sets this trailer apart from the previous ones is the rather “explosive” motion, in which characters hover and lunge forward, in an almost anime-like way.
The trailer ends on a climactic final scene between Batman and Superman, where — well, I won’t ruin it for you. Have a peep for yourself!
