Classic 90’s shooter Kingpin being revived by 3D Realms

Gangland FPS makes a comeback

3D Realms has announced that they’re bringing back one of the more popular 90s FPS games. Kingpin was a gang/underworld themed shooter initially released in 1999 and developed on the Quake II engine. The game stars a recently beaten-up thug, who seeks revenge on the kingpin that put the hit on him.

The modern take will be a remastered version, featuring updates like 4K and ultra-wide viewing, quests, and a lot of rebalancing and quality of life tweaks.

The game will arrive later this year on PC, PS4, Xbox One and Switch.
