Conquest in PONG Quest
PONG seems like the simplest game on the planet, and apart from silly things like PONG Kombat, there haven’t been too many twists in the long life of the game. Atari wants to change that and bring the game out of hibernation with PONG Quest.
I know what you’re thinking: “YES! Finally that PONG RPG that I’ve always been wanting!” But, after a little poking around (and watching the trailer) I tend to lean towards being actually gosh darned intrigued by the concept. There’s an overworld that’s reminiscent of other Atari stalwart Adventure, there are battles, and there looks like a lot of customization and unlocks.
It might actually be fun? We scoffed at strange genre mixes, but then Puzzle Quest arrived and shattered all of our expectations.
PONG Quest lands “soon” for PS4, Switch, XB1 and PC.
