Far Cry 6 and Rainbow Six Quarantine delayed

COVID-19 strikes development again

The next Far Cry game is getting pushed back. Ubisoft has announced that the sixth game in the popular series as well as its upcoming Rainbow Six Quarantine are being delayed due to ongoing COVID-19 development factors. There’s been a big upswing in COVID infections around the world as flu season starts to set in and our immune systems get hammered (and holidays coerce people to get together), so a slowdown in development is the norm.

Both games were due in the first quarter of 2021, but have now been pushed back into the next financial year (from April 2021 to the end of March 2022). No exact dates were given, but we’re sure that predicting these things right now is difficult.

At least we have more Giancarlo Esposito in The Mandalorian.
