Plants vs Zombies: Battle for Neighborville finally comes to Switch

Plants AND zombies, you say?

Battle for Neighborville, part of the Garden Warfare series of Plants vs Zombies pin-off games, is headed to Switch in a “complete edition.” The game, a sort of Call of Duty pitting the plants versus the zombies, will retain all of the modes of the game, which originally launched in 2019 on PS4, Xbox One and PC, alongside all of the downloadable content and cosmetic items. Split-screen local play will let friends battle it out — hopefully on a screen once the switch is docked.

The game actually might find a great home on the console, as the aesthetic is right in line with the family-friendly nature of Nintendo and the system is starved for (good) shooters. You can only play so much Fortnite or Splatoon. Serving it up as a complete package means that parents don’t have to worry if their kids accidentally buy too many cosmetic items, draining their wallets.

Plants vs Zombies: Battle for Neighborville Complete Edition arrives on Switch on March 19th,
