EA and its studios tease the next game in the series
There are not one, but TWO new Battlefield games coming. DICE and EA announced the news in a blog post, with a heavy focus on the series’ first mobile outing. That game will launch sometime in 2022, and is being developed by studio Industrial Toys for phones and tablets. It will be an all-new game, so don’t expect a port of Bad Company any time soon.
The other game is a proper BF. Currently unnamed, the sixth main Battlefield game is currently in playtesting. The game is being handled by DICE, DICE LA, EA Gothenburg, and Criterion Games, and will continue the giant scale of the series. No platforms have been announced, but the Holiday 2021 is the current date that’s planned. We *ARE* still in a pandemic, though, so that’s always up in the air.
EA is planning on showing us more soon, so who knows when that will be — but EA Play is coming back this year.
