Shin Megami Tensei V launches November 12th

Convince demons and monsters to join your house party on Switch

Nintendo and Atlus have finally given a launch date for the upcoming Shin Megami Tensei V. First announced way back in 2017 alongside the reveal of the Switch, the newest game in the series is being billed as a hybrid between SMT IV and SMT II Nocturne, which just released its own updated version. The themes mix the demonic side of one with the “choose your destiny” of the other.

The game will star a high school student who’s thrust into an alternate dimension wasteland and must use the help of a stranger to make their way through. Demons can be defeated through a command-based system where players will target specific weak points, and the monsters can even join the team if negotiated with correctly.

From Nintendo:

The ambitions of god and human clash amidst the horror of a dying world. Neither human nor demon, the newly-forged Nahobino and his friends must decide what is worth saving… and prepare to sacrifice everything in its name. In a world without its Creator, which path will you choose?

Shin Megami Tensei V launches November 11th in Japan and November 12th in the West exclusively on Nintendo Switch.
