The next iteration of the social racer launches this year
We’re heading to Mexico!
Well, the digital interpretation of Mexico. In Playground Games Forza Horizon 5, that is. Microsoft revealed the new game at its E3 2021 showcase event, detailing the new features and location alongside some gameplay. Players will now drive along beaches, volcanos, jungles and even into dust storms as weather becomes even more of an impact on the races.
Not only will the social world return, but players can also engage in the social challenge-filled Horizon Arcade and the battle royale-like Eliminator. Brand new to the series will be a special Expeditions mode that allows players to explore and grow the map outside of racing, and EventLab, which will let them create their own races and challenges.
Forza Horizon 5 will launch on Xbox platforms, PC, and Game Pass Ultimate on day one, including streaming.
