Zack is Back!
During today’s Final Fantasy VII 25th Anniversary Celebration, Square Enix revealed that the classic PSP game, Crisis Core, is finally coming back — with a full remaster.
The original Crisis Core starred Zack, Cloud’s Soldier idol, as he pressed to discover the origins of Genesis and Project G, and how it relates to Sephiroth and Angeal. It was a mission-based RPG, with a story that gained traction and speed as it went on, tying together some of the story threads that were originally revealed in Final Fantasy VII a decade prior.
The remaster, titled Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion, will utilize new 3D models, new background music, updated UI, full voice acting, and more quality of life features.
The game will arrive this Winter for PS4/5, Switch, Xbox, and Steam.
