Valkyrie Elysium, the upcoming latest game in Square Enix’s action RPG series, has a launch date. The company revealed that the game will release on September 29th for PlayStation platforms (4 & 5) and on November 11th for PC via Steam.
Developed by Soleil, the game features heroine Valkyrie as she fights the being Fenrir and its armies with a combo and enhancement system using Einherjar. These spirits grant abilities to Valkyrie once she summons them, and can be the difference between life and death. It’s bathed in Norse mythology, albeit more as an aesthetic than a literal retelling.
The PlayStation collectors versions will also come packaged with a copy of Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth, a port of the series’ PSP game. Lenneth can also be purchased separately.
