Our GOTY 2022 is a wonderful experience that hit all of us with smiles
It didn’t take much deliberation. Andrew Shouldice’s Tunic has been selected SideQuesting’s GAME OF THE YEAR for 2022.
The game, a nostalgia-fueled exploration adventure, captivated each of us in different ways and for different reasons. Maybe it was the homage to classic Zelda, or maybe it was the depth of the world and its interactions; maybe it was the approachable design, or maybe it was the 4th wall breaking aspects; maybe it was that it was the level of challenge, or maybe it was the little bits of joy sprinkled throughout.
But, most likely, maybe it was all of it. Even in a little package Tunic fits so much wide-eyed wonder and surprise that it’s impossible not to smile.
Yeah, it was all of it.
