The detectives return this year
There’s a Sam & Max renaissance taking place over the last couple of years, and rightfully so: the point & click series is one of the longest running and best written adventure games of all time. And with a huge back catalog of games within the series that have been lost to time, developer Skunkape Games has been bringing some of those games back into the forefront with updated/remastered versions.
The next game to return is Sam & Max: The Devil’s Playhouse: Remastered. First released episodically way back in 2010 on iPad, Mac, PC and PlayStation 3, the game follows the duo on yet another case, albeit with much more mind bending results. It was developed by Telltale Games just before they took the crown of Adventure Game mastery.
The platforms haven’t been announced yet, but the previous remasters have launched on all platforms. It arrives later this year.
