How do you do, fellow music aficionados! There’s a cool game that I think you may want to keep on your radar. It’s called UNBEATABLE and it looks TERRIFIC.
Unbeatable mixes music rhythm game with action and style, and really (really) leans into the music side of everything. In the game’s world, music is illegal and it’s up to a band to DO CRIME and make music. Doing so will mean that they’ll have to fight, traverse, move, and do all kinds of things to a beat — just like mama always wanted. It’s difficult to fully explain what that could mean here, but in the re-announcement video the team shows off side scrolling kicks and punches (to a beat), movement in space (to a beat) and a whole lot of cool animation (to a beat).
It’s actually a narrative experience, and it requires interaction within the band and its world.
There’s definitely a great vibe going on here.
Unbeatable is scheduled to hit the stage in 2025.
