The third game in a whole paranormal universe is ready to ratchet up the tension

Kip Edwards has built what they call the “Conrad Universe” of spooky-ass-spooky games (Conrad Stevenson’s Paranormal P.I. and Among the Whispers – Provocation), and the developer is about to unleash the third entry.

Daughter of Voodoo takes the idea of investigation games into the voodoo craft by focusing on practitioner Marie Laurette as she speaks to the spirits and pierces the veil to find out what may have led to their demise. The dev is aiming for authenticity in the game, and will have players utilize the tools and techniques of the voodoo practitioners to make their way through the many stories of the “other side.”

Daughter of Voodoo is set as a first person adventure, where players will have glimpses into the pasts of the spirits, some who welcome us and some who don’t. Don’t expect a lot of traditional action, as we’re more of a medium than we are a typical hero, letting our interactions weave the among stories to get to the answers we seek.

Any time games let us dip into tales that we may not — or possibly should not — be a part of we tend to find way more intriguing avenues to experience.

The game does not have a release date yet, but more information can be found on its Steam listing as it becomes available.
