Capcom releases Resident Evil Requiem short film that may be the best live action interpretation ever of the games

The best return to Raccoon City yet

Live action stuff can be hit or miss, but in Capcom’s most recent case it’s definitely a hit. Or several, with a baseball bat.

Gearing up the promotion of the upcoming Resident Evil Requiem the publisher released the short film that depicts the beginnings and aftermath of the zombie apocalypse, with a strong focus on the effects it has on families. Evil Has Always Had a Name follows a mother and daughter during the fall of Raccoon City, and it certainly goes places.

With just a few weeks to go before the launch of the game, the short film should give fans a tease for what they may see in the mother-daughter dynamic depicted in the game itself.

Resident Evil Requiem launches Feb 27.
