Finish Him… ON THE ICE.

With video games firmly a part of our lives, modern athletes have grown up playing and enjoying them, and that extends all the way to the world of figure skating.

At this year’s Winter Olympics Ice Skating Gala on Saturday night, several of the athletes put on special routines that don’t mean anything for the medals, but still bring joy and fun to the games, and Georgia’s Anastasiia Metelkina and Luka Berulava dazzled with a Mortal Kombat inspired set.

The pair perfoms dressed as Sub Zero and Kitana, and shows off some of the Mortal Kombat moves (cleaned up for TV audiences), alongside a Friendship… and then more. The pair has done this routine a few times already, but having it in the Olympics when the entire world is watching is certainly a fun finisher.

This isn’t the first time Mortal Kombat has made an Olympic figure skating appearance, either. Way back in 1998 in Nagano, Russian skater Ilia Kulik performed a Mortal Kombat-inspired routine as well. WITH A SWORD.
