Final Fantasy VII Rebirth landing on Switch 2 and Xbox in June

Cloud and crew break limits on more consoles later this year

If it feels like we just got our hands on the Switch 2 and Xbox versions of Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade, it’s because we DID — those suckers released only a couple of weeks ago. While many of us are knee deep in Midgar the inevitable question arises: when will we be able to get our next fix of the story?

Well, wait no further (okay, just a little bit further) as Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will come to those respective platforms in June of this year. This latest version of the game will include the Streamlined Progression feature that jacks up the strength of characters and scales down the difficulty of the game for those who may want to blast through the battles to stay on course with the plot, or who may have already completed the game on PlayStation 5 and now want to pick up the game for the newer platform(s).

There will be a digital deluxe edition available, which includes extras like a digital art book and soundtrack and in-game goodies, and a physical one for the Switch that also includes a Zack Fair Magic the Gathering card.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth launches on Switch 2, Xbox Series and Xbox for PC on June 3, 2026.
