Well suck me sideways, there’s a new Castlevania game on the way

Suck my blood, that is. Because vampires!

Sony had a lot of retro-tastic announcements during today’s State of Play, but one that stuck out for us was the reveal of Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse. Developed by Evil Empire and Motion Twin, the team behind the excellent Dead Cells, this new Castlevania goes back to its 2D roots and its Belmont heroics.

Though it will have that nostalgic core it’ll be modernized a bit, with emphasis on motion, animation and exploration. It’s a ‘Vania, alright.

Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse arrives on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Steam and Switch later this year.
