Our movie senses are tingling
It’s going to be an absolutely packed year for genre movies. From sci-fi to comics to horror to adaptations, there’s going to be plenty for us geeks. Two of the biggest upcoming flicks have just dropped their first trailers, and they’re whetting our appetites for the months ahead.
Spider-man: Brand New Day
The next Spidey film follows the hero in a world that’s forgotten about Peter Parker. Spidey is still saving New York, but there’s not a big cosmic event in the way (yet). The first trailer shows life for Peter as he’s been pikcing up the pieces, facing off against the likes of some classic comic enemies. It’s out in theaters July 31.
Dune Part 3
In case y’all didn’t know, Paul Atreides isn’t a Good Dude. His turn towards the dark side in the last Dune movie revealed some nefarious things are on the way for the new Emperor. The next Dune film, the finale in the trilogy, will explore that, along with the lovely family dynamic that will definitely, totally, obviously not bring him crashing down.
Dune Part 3 is out December 18.
