The X-Mansion has some new tenants
It’s been anticipated for decades and now that Marvel & Disney finally, FINALLY have the rights back to the X-Men it’s time to get things really moving on the next MCU franchise centerpiece. There were arguably too many other MCU projects and movies and threads to tie up before dumping in yet another franchise into the mix (we were all getting a little burnt out there!) so the wait has been excruciating but worthwhile.
At D23 Marvel gave us the X-Men. Or at least the actors who will be playing them. Announced at the panel were several members of the film, currently just titled X-Men, with more surely on the way. We already knew of Sadie Sink as Jean Grey, but now we have the full list:
- Professor X: Christopher Abbott
- Jean Grey: Sadie Sink
- Cyclops: Kit Connor
- Emma Frost: Samara Weaving
- Rogue: Inde Navarette
- Storm: Maya Boyd
- Mr. Sinister: Adam Driver
Yes, Adam Driver. In the MCU. They got him. The dude from Girls and Marriage Story.
The film now also has a release date, too! Circle your calenders (or your wagons?) for May 5, 2028.
And go watch X-Men ’97 until then, because it’s a crazy good show too!
