Well will you look at that: the little, um, toadstool that is Nintendo was born 120 years ago today, the 23rd of September, in Kyoto.  Founded by the infamous Yamauchi family as a card game manufacturer, the company grew into a video game leader.  Along the career path to the Wii, Nintendo tried its hand at nearly everything: Japanese love hotels, Ultra Hands, and TV stations.

Happy 120th, Big N!  Now, give us some new Metroid or Zelda games or you don’t get any cake.
