Glory to the digital punk future!
CD Projekt Red “hijacked” the end of Microsoft’s Xbox 2018 press conference to unveil the stunning Cyberpunk 2077 trailer. The game is set in a future in which things are not dystopian, not post-apocalyptic, but definitely techno-fetishing. With bright, fluorescent colors, humans with implants, robots, and wild cars, Cyberpunk 2077 looks to add noir to the future, much like Blade Runner, but with a more “Miami Vice” feel.
The developers have revealed that the game has been in development full throttle since Witcher 3‘s Blood and Wine expansion released, is a true single-player RPG, will let players fully create their own character, and feature no microtransactions.
As for a release date? None was given, but the company will tell us when they feel that they’re far enough along to do so.
