Darksiders Genesis revealed, brings Hell this year

Isometric beginnings and endings

Ahead of E3 2019, THQNordic has announced the next Darksiders game, Genesis.

Developed by Airship Syndicate, creators of the nostalgia-inspired Battle Chasers: Nightwar, Darksiders Genesis will take the series in a new direction, serving as an offshoot and not a direct sequel to 2018’s Darksiders III. The game will shift perspectives from 3rd person action to isometric, and move towards a more traditional PC Action RPG game, much like Diablo and the Divinity series.

Airship Syndicate were founded by famed comic book artist Joe Madureira, who also worked on the original Darksiders game, so this project seems to come full circle.

The game brings Strife, the last of the Four Horsemen, and War together as they fight to protect humanity from Lucifer. The game will mix the action and adventure well known in the series with the new vantage point and gameplay.

Darksiders Genesis is coming to Switch, PC, PS4 and Xbox One later this year.
