Is there any speed left to even need?
Another year, another Need For Speed from Electronic Arts. The series has been pretty consistent, introducing new modes and vehicles with each release. This time, the developers at Ghost Games are pitting players against a rogue police force (ripped from the headlines!) in a Miami-like setting. There’s definitely some Latin flavor, some heat (both in the cars and the setting) and police chases, with players earning street cred (“Rep”) and cash as they compete in Speedhunters Showdown races that the cops are trying to bust up.
Beyond the racing aspect alone, the game will include more challenges than ever before, customization features, more vehicles, and a player-v-cops storyline.
More of the game will be revealed at Gamescom’s Opening Night Live on the 19th. Need for Speed Heat arrives November 5 on Origin Access & November 8 worldwide for PS4, XBO and PC.
