NFL turning to Electronic Arts to help at upcoming Draft

Players will virtually take the stage

What happens when you can’t be at the NFL Draft 2020 in person? You show up digitally. At least, that’s what the NFL is hoping to accomplish.

Working with EA, the company has revealed that it will have a digital version of the drafted player appear on a digital stage to shake hands with the NFL’s commissioner, the much-beloved Roger Goodell, digitally. It’s essentially a scene straight out of Madden that we’ve all seen a million times before — except now it’s how the draft will actually take place.

The news comes from NFL insider Ian Rapoport, who revealed the news on Twitter.

The NFL Draft takes place from April 23-25.
