We got the major Pokémunchies
The Pokémon Company have revealed a brand new mobile free-to-play title, Pokémon Café Mix.
The game has players taking control of a cafe for Pokémon, with the goal of creating food and drinks for the creatures based off of their likes. It’s played as a puzzle, with Pokémon faces being encircled, collected and collapsed. As the pocket monsters enjoy the food more and more, players will be able to form bonds and friendships, eventually adding them as employees.
It doesn’t seem like a particularly deep puzzle game, but none of the Pokémon games on mobile devices really are. Aimed at kids, they’re meant to draw them into the IP rather than provide a ton of challenge. The joy of Pokémon is the collecting, anyways, so hopefully those potential Pokémployees will be satisfied with the grub enough to join. And it’s freaking cute, to be honest, so you got us interested.
Pokémon Café Mix is coming to iOS, Android and Nintendo Switch “soon.”
