Spiritual successor to Hexen II on the way
Slipgate Ironworks is developing a brand new old game for 3D Realms. GRAVEN, a dark fantasy based first person action game, pays homage to Hexen II as it mixes the genre with the styling of a 1998 Unreal Engine 1 game. It starts a Priest working for God on his way to take on a horrible sect hellbent on releasing plagues and evil onto the world.
Yes, just like its aesthetic the game is very much aiming for that 90s PC feel. Luckily, you won’t have to go back in time to find it. You *will* have to go forward a bit. GRAVEN arrives in 2021 for PC (via Steam), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Switch.
