Relive the ninja trilogy in the Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection

Ryu Hayabusa slices into the modern generation

I grew up on the blistering difficulty of the Ninja Gaiden games on NES, but only briefly dipped my toe into the modern take on the series, THREE WHOLE console generations back. Now, it looks like I’ll get a chance to give it another shot.

Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja have announced a collection of the trilogy, focusing on the expanded SIGMA versions of the games, will be on its way soon. The collection will add visual and control tweaks, as well as the four extra playable characters and costumes, when it launches on June 10th on Switch, PS4, Xbox One and Steam.

A special collaboration with Nioh 2 has also been announced, bringing a Ryu costume skin to both versions of the game.

Let’s hope all of this leads into an eventual reveal of Ninja Gaiden 4, because ninjas are cool again.
