Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 coming to more consoles

Shredding onto the next/new generation this year

As expected, Tony Hawk is hitting up more consoles. After some tweetin’ back and forth the last few days, Activision announced that THPS 1+2 would be hitting Nintendo’s Switch, the PS5, and the Xbox Series X/S. The game is already available for the now-previous generation of consoles (PS4, Xbox One) and the Epic Games Store, but this new iteration will see a few upgrades.

The next gen version (PS5 & Xbox Series) will run at 120 FPS at 1080P, with native 4K at 60 FPS, and spatial audio where available. Upgraded fidelity (“atmospherics”) in shadows, lighting, etc will be available on the next gen versions.

Owners of the game on the previous generation will have a bit of a convoluted way at getting the upgrade for the newest gen, as only purchasers of the Digital Deluxe iterations get the upgraded rev for free. Everyone else pays $10. Or, just buy the game for the first time.

THPS 1+2 hits PS5 & Xbox Series on March 26, and Switch later this year.
