Nintendo announces its E3 2021 Direct date

Presentation to focus on games for the Nintendo Switch

I know what you’re all thinking, and we are too: SWITCH PRO?

Apparently, maybe? Maybe not? Who knows! Nintendo does, and they’re not talking — at least, not yet. The Big Red Company has set a date for its E3 Direct, bringing back the tradition that we’ve missed. Circle June 15th on your calendars at 9AM PT/12PM ET. The Direct will run for 40 minutes, “exclusively” focusing on software coming to Nintendo Switch.

What does that mean? Does it mean that it will ONLY focus on software, and not hardware? That seems to be likely so. It may be dashing our hopes a bit — or it may reveal the Switch Pro ahead of time and just focus on the games coming in 2021 for it at the Direct.

The Direct will be followed by a 3 hour Treehouse Live with live play sessions, so expect Skyward Sword, Pokemon Diamond & Pearl, No More Heroes III, and probably more than a few surprises.
