Living Chozos! Varia Suit upgrades! OH MY!
Nintendo’s next big action game this year is Metroid Dread, and even though it’s still a few months away, it hasn’t slowed down in marketing the game. The company dropped a brand new trailer for the game today, revealing fast gameplay, skills, weapons, and a new take on a familiar boss. Oh, and a living Chozo. A LIVING CHOZO!
The Chozo are the peace-loving, highly technologically advanced species that gave Samus her powers, but the clip opens with one seemingly attacking her. HMMM!
The video also shows off several abilities, like the Flash Shift and Pulse Radar, as well as enemies galore. There’s even an updated Power Suit/Varia Suit in the trailer. Oh, and the increasingly delicious-looking visuals. “Check out that lighting!” is not a phrase I was expecting to say about a 2.5D Metroid game.
