E3 is dead, but this Summer is a Mess of Games Fests

Oh God, we don’t know how good we had it

As the year rolls on, we’re getting closer and closer to the void that was once filled by the E3 tumor. It’s nice to have it out, sure, but now we kind of miss it. We even named it! Evan. It’s name was Evan.

The absence of E3 (again!) won’t stop gaming companies from hosting events, and we’re already tired of posting about them and it’s only April and they haven’t happened yet.

Anyways, the list is now growing, rapidly, and it’s starting to look extra messy already. Here’s what’s happening so far:

Summer Game Fest is back again, kicking off in June with a streaming event

Konami is hosting Indie Games Connect 2022 on June 26th in Japan, which is going to be a sort of free Indie conference & showcase

THQ Nordic dropped off a Save the Date for their showcase, which is happening August 12th

Quakecon‘s going all digital again, from August 18-20

And we’re going to get events for Xbox, Nintendo, and Sony, alongside other publishers and developers — so stick tuned!
