Sony announces State of Play event for June 2nd

Expect a nice, bug chunk of gaming news in UnE3 season

Not to be left behind in the gaming news mess fest, Sony has revealed that it will be hosting a brand new State of Play event, focusing mostly on third party news with a few tidbits for the PSVR 2 as well. The company says to expect “nearly 30 minutes of announcements and updates from the world of PlayStation” as well as “some exciting reveals from our third-party partners, plus a sneak peek at several games in development for PlayStation VR2.”

The verbiage seems to mean that we may not see God of War, but instead focus on Final Fantasy XVI, Forespoken, and perhaps Street Fighter VI as well. We may have to wait until later in the Summer for a true Sony showcase, but this might tide over folks until then.

The event can be watched via Twitch and YouTube, from 3PM PT/ 6PM ET / 12AM CET.

And, have a look at our MASSIVE list of gaming events, with every single one you could possibly want to know about. ENJOY.
