And Obsidian is developing this?
And its protagonist is an artist?
And it captures an art style reminiscent of wood cuts, storybooks, and manuscripts?!
All of our interests are piqued. All of them. Which is why Obsidian’s just announced game Pentiment has us pretty intrigued. Revealed during the Xbox Showcase 2022, the game is a 2D whodunit where a journeyman artist needs to help unravel a series of mysterious killings across the countryside. Using his artful knowhow and a little luck, he just might uncover a deadly truth.
It’s a very different game from what Obsidian typically puts out, which is why our attention immediately is turned to it. We’ll find out more through the year before Pentiment releases exclusively on Xbox platforms, PC, and Game Pass.
