Multiplicity of concept in the new game from 11 Bit

Last weekend 11 Bit Studios announced its newest project, The Alters, with a snazzy and thought-provoking prerendered teaser trailer. Watch it below!

The Alters presents an interesting concept for a game: what if you could “alter” your path forward in life by creating new versions of yourself? Maybe one version is a scientist. Maybe one is a painter, or a chef, or a guitarist, or a space miner, or a dude who really likes to relax in front of the television. And what if you could solve problems and puzzles based on those different alternate selves?

That seems pretty neat, to be honest. But apart from the pretty cool trailer we’re not 100 percent sure what the game actually is. Is it a third person action adventure game? A narrative FPS? Is it a 2D platform puzzler? Is it an FMV? Point-and-click? Match 3 sports gacha? No idea.

The Alters has no release date yet, so we’re hoping that 11 Bit can show us something that gives us an idea of what to be hyped up about. But the trailer is neat!
