Mario and his MINIONS might arrive in October
The upcoming Mario + Rabbids sequel, Sparks of Hope, hasn’t had a firm release date yet. Given a nebulous “2022” on recent Nintendo and Ubisoft investor relations releases, the game was expected to launch this year. Now thanks to an OOPSIE on Ubisoft’s own website, the game appears to have had its birthday leaked.
On Monday, the official Ubisoft store listed the game in Standard and Gold variations for launch on October 20th, 2022. This is likely due to user error, as these things tends to be, but the info does drop just as Nintendo is about to host a Partner Direct Mini in which third party (and likely a couple second party or first party) games will be revealed and information updated.
Interestingly, the Gold Edition was never announced. The edition will include the main game plus the season pass of content and DLC, similar to the original excellent game’s Gold Edition.
Anyhoo, even though the information was pulled from the website for the time being, we expect information to drop any day now reconfirming the project’s launch.
