It’s Xbox! Xbox Game Studios, to be exact. The news came appended to today’s Starfield delay announcement. Upon revealing that a Starfield Direct was on the way on June 11th, it was noted to be taking place “following the Xbox Games Showcase.”
While the news isn’t surprising — Microsoft confirmed a Summer showcase was in the works already, and the event has typically taken place on the Sunday before E3 — what may be a little more telling could be the name of the event: Xbox Games Showcase. That lends us to believe that the sole Bethesda information will be in the Starfield Direct, and that Xbox will focus on Forza, perhaps updates on Fable, and maybe even some of the other rumored games (Gears, et al).
We’ll be there rocking during the event, as soon as we get an official time (hint: it’ll be 1PM ET as usual).
