Assassin’s Creed Mirage sneaks into October release date

It’s time to jump into hay bales again

Basim is back, and his backstory is about to get all up into our faces. During the latest PlayStation Showcase, Ubisoft debuted the first gameplay of Assassin’s Creed Mirage, which stars Assassin’s Creed Valhalla‘s Basim Ibn and is set in Baghdad. The trailer shows off Basim’s abilities as he parkours his way through city streets and tracks down his targets. Interestingly enough it seems to eschew some of the concepts that evolved through Odyssey and Valhalla and pulls it back towards some of the earlier Assassin’s Creed games, albeit with a refined combat system.

Also, it seems like choice will be a big part of the experience, with players being able to tackle missions in a variety of ways.

The trailer finally tells us when the game will release: October 12, 2023. That date leaked earlier in the day (whoops! Thanks, retailers!) but it lines up with the typical October timeframe of the series. Assassin’s Creed Mirage will arrive on PlayStation and Xbox consoles alongside PC.
