The Tribeca Festival to feature looks at Hideo Kojima documentary, upcoming games

The festival’s foray into gaming returns for 2023

You can keep track of ALL of the events coming up this Summer RIGHT HERE in our handy dandy Summer 2023 Video Game Events List.

Hideo Kojima is arguably one of the most well-regarded video game creators of the past three decades, and with his recent foray into the arts outside of games it’s no surprise that other those same arts would come knocking back.

At the Tribeca Festival (formerly the Tribeca Film Festival) a documentary special film diving into his creative process will debut. “Connecting Worlds” is directed by Glen Milner and features interviews with Guillermo del Toro, Nicholas Winding Refn, Grimes, George Miller, Norman Reedus, Woodkid, Chvrches and more. The screening takes place on June 17th at 5PM in the Indeed Theater at Spring Studios and will be followed by a Q&A with the man himself. Tickets can be purchased for $20.

The Tribeca Festival will showcase games through two weekends, from June 9-17th, diving into upcoming projects like Stray Gods, The Expanse: A Telltale Series, and Nightscape. The full schedule can be found here: Tribeca Festival.
