With just a week since its release, Pokemon has taken a commanding lead in Switch sales.
Pokemon Let’s Go: Eevee and Pokemon Let’s Go: Pikachu launched on November 16, and now are already the fastest-selling game on Nintendo’s Switch. The Pokemon Company announced that the game(s) have reached three million in physical sales in just the first week of release, shattering the records that Mario and Zelda set in the console’s first year.

The game is a more casual take on the series, as a remake of the original Pokemon game with Pokemon GO controls and stylings. The next game in the series will be a mainline Pokemon game coming next year.
