Summer in the North, Winter in the South
During the Game Awards last week, Sony and Sucker Punch revealed in a snazzy new trailer that their next giant game, Ghost of Tsushima, will be hitting the PlayStation 4 and PS4 Pro in Summer of 2020.
“Summer” is always a tenuous term when revealing release dates, since that could mean anywhere from June until September. With the PlayStation 5 arriving next Holiday season 2020, Ghost will likely be the last big exclusive game for the PS4 platform. With all of the focus on the new console likely exploding after E3, the game will need to distance itself enough so that it doesn’t get lost in the media blitz — or, perhaps, the game could be cross-generation/backwards compatible to allow play on the new device.
More information will likely be revealed at a later date, closer to the game’s release.
