Nintendo is hosting a Direct this week to debut the Super Mario movie trailer

It’s-a me, Mario’s missing behind!

We’re half a year away from the Mario movie hitting theaters, but now just over a day away from the first teaser trailer debuting online. Nintendo has revealed that it will be hosting a special movie-focused Direct on Thursday, October 6th at 1:05 PM PT/4:05PM ET (during NYCC) to showcase the trailer and some words from the team behind the movie.

Tune in at 1:05 p.m. PT on 10/6 for a #NintendoDirect: The Super Mario Bros. Movie presentation introducing the world premiere trailer for the upcoming film (no game information will be featured).

Expect Chris Pratt to be Chris Pratt.

More importantly, check out that poster that the team created for the film — Mario has no butt! Like, none! At all! We expect (demand!) him to have some bubble back there, not to be flat cheeked.

We hope this shot of Our Guy is taken out of context and that he does in fact have a couple of melons back there. I guess we’ll find out on Thursday.
