GTA VI is looking pretty incredible
It’s been a long year+ since we last saw a new Grand Theft Auto VI trailer. Surprisingly there’s only ever been one official trailer, with nary a peep since. Well, just this week we found out about the significant delay to the game — pushing it from “2025” to May 26, 2026 — and to at least quell our fears a bit (or perhaps stoke our fire for the game?) Rockstar has dropped a massive, gorgeous new trailer.
It’s called TRAILER 2! Amazing.
Anyhoo, while that first trailer was thematic *this* trailer details the locations and characters that players will come across on their journey doing crimes and having times.
The game focuses on Jason and Lucia, who work off of each other as they make their way through the new South Florida themed world. There’s even a return to Vice City! And a pseudo Everglades! Neat!
Other characters players will interact with include Boobie Ike, Cal Hampton, DreQuan Priest, and Real Dimez, among others, who will engage with the pair of hard on their luck “heroes” as they work across all variety of missions, dipping into South Florida culture, music, and more.
Anyhoo, it’s easily one of the best-looking games we’ve seen yet. Even though it’s only announced for PlayStation 5 (where this trailer is pulled from) and Xbox, it’s maximizing everything the current gen can throw at it.
Grand Theft Auto VI arrives next year, May 26, 2026.
