Bubsy 4D review: This is a game about Bubsy the Bobcat

Bubsy 4D review: This is a game about Bubsy the Bobcat

Is this too much Bubsy, or not enough? You already know the answer to that.

They finally did it. They are lunatics and they finally did it. They made a good Bubsy game. It’s not a great game, but it’s a good game.

I don’t think the level aesthetic is all that great, the camera can be real finicky, and at the end of the day it is still just a Bubsy game but developer Fabraz has created one hell of a control scheme for the bobcat. Jump, flutter, pounce, bounce, and rolling our way through the levels, chaining all of these moves together while shaving precious seconds off of our completion time feels GOOD.

It’s a return for Bubsy, but hopefully it’s one that will bring in more of the bobcat sooner rather than later, and give him some actual good days.
