From Sephiroth With Love
The third and final chapter of the Final Fantasy VII remake saga has finally been revealed, and it’s a revelation. For real! That’s the name of it, Final Fantasy VII Revelation!
The announcement came during Summer Game Fest, and featured a lengthy look at the game and its characters. According to Director Naoki Hamaguchi the theme of the game is “resolve”, and will put a bow on each of the characters’ story arcs, including the newly joining Vincent Valentine and Cid Highwind.
The game is now a fully explorable open world, with players taking flight in the Highwind airship and parachute-dropping down to wherever they need to go. The game will also “perfect” the gameplay of the series, and will now include FITS (outfits) that can further enhance characters’ capabilities.
Plot-wise the game will revolve around the rampaging war and the emergence of the Weapons, the planet’s way of protecting itself. Oh, and there’s a giant ass meteor in the sky ready to blow everything apart anyways.
The best part is that we won’t have to wait that long to play the game, and on our platform of choice as well: Final Fantasy VII Revelation arrives in early 2027 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch 2 and PC all on the same day. Have a peep at some of the tantalizing screen shots below.
