Lara Croft’s original adventure is looking better than ever
Tomb raidin’ ain’t easy, and if anyone knows that it’s Lara Croft. The hero has forged a path for gaming that at one point had her on the Mount Rushmore of characters (she still rules the late 90s), and it all started with that original PC game. Now, with a full reimagining of that game set to release next year, Lara’s adventures look as action-packed and intense as ever.

Let’s be realistic here: replaying the original Tomb Raider games is not fun. They were great for their time but that time was 30 years ago. A lot has happened with games since then. So, when refreshing the originals you kind of need to start from the ground up. Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis does just that, doing more than just putting a fresh coat of paint on the game.
The new trailer released today reveals returning characters, locations, and even the classic cog-wheel puzzles that we loved to hate. And if that isn’t enough it also lets us know that the game is coming day and date on Nintendo’s Switch 2.

Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis swings onto all modern platforms on February 12, 2027.
