Sony has revealed their next push into cultivating and developing indie games on their platforms, the company announced. President of SCE Worldwide Studios, Shuhei Yoshida, was given the job of Head of Indies Initiative at the company last November, and now his work looks to begin bearing fruit.
With the current generation coming to a close and a new one just months away, it’s important that Sony hits the transition running with support for indies, the quickest growing sector of published games on all platforms. Throughout the day today, and in the leadup to the launch of the PS5, Sony will reveal new and updated projects for their platforms as a part of the initiative.
