Hell yes, my friend.
The wonderful world of the Monkey Island adventure games has been absent in our lives for years. There have been remakes and spin-offs and sequels as recently as 2009, but they’ve been without the guidance of Gilbert, who left after the second game. Return to Monkey Island is Gilbert’s return to the series, and will serve as a direct sequel to Monkey Island 2: LeChuck’s Revenge.
Developed by Gilbert’s Terrible Toybox studio and published by Devolver Digital and Lucasfilm Games, we’ll be returning to Monkey Island later this year, in Two Thousand and Twenty Two, the year of Luigi + 9.
